The main history of the scheme is related to the late chief minister Doctor YS Rajasekhara Reddy. He was the previous Chief Minister of the Andhra Pradesh state before the current Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. He was a very hard working individual and his main aim was to provide free electricity to all of the agriculture sector present in the Andhra Pradesh state. His vision was to make a Green Andhra Pradesh. He was not able to fulfill the vision. Now, the current Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh state has taken over the vision and is providing free electricity to all of the agricultural sectors in the Andhra Pradesh state. The previous Chief Minister has spent around 6000 crores in 2013 to fulfill his vision. Now the current Chief Minister will launch the scheme

Objective Of Agriculture Electricity Cash Transfer Scheme
The objective of the scheme which has been launched by the concerned authorities is to make sure that all of the farmers are free from paying the monthly Power bill. The government will also develop 10,000 solar power plants to help the farmers and to ensure uninterrupted free power supply for the next 30 years in the Andhra Pradesh state. The farmers will not have to pay anything on the monthly power bill. Andhra Pradesh government is ensuring that the best benefits are provided to the farmers. They do not have to pay anything extra other than their basic expenses of food.
Benefit Of Agriculture Electricity Cash Transfer Scheme
The main benefits which will be provided to all of the farmers in the Andhra Pradesh state that they will not have to pay anything on the power electricity bill which will be given to them every month by the power distribution system. Agriculture power connections will be provided with the benefit under this scheme so that the farmers are free from the debt of the monthly power connection bill. There are around 17.55 lakh agricultural power connections in the Andhra Pradesh state. All of the connections will be given free electricity supply in the new scheme launched by the Andhra Pradesh state called the cash transfer scheme for power supplies.
Implementation Procedure
The following implementation procedure are as follows in which the cash transfer scheme of the Andhra Pradesh state will work:-
- All of the farmers will have to open their respective bank accounts to be eligible under the new scheme.
- A proper list of beneficiaries will be curated by the official authorities
- The credit of the monthly Power bill amount will be done in the bank account of the beneficiaries.
- From the money which has been transferred in the bank account, the farmers will pay their power charges to the respective Power distribution Company.
