On 22nd February 2023, The Honorable chief minister Eknath Shinde of Maharashtra announced the Maharashtra Food Kit Scheme. This scheme has been announced for saffron ration card holders. The government is going to spend Rs 473.79 crore for the scheme. The beneficiary is will get the kits called AnandachaShidha (Food of Joy) for Rs. 100 only.
