Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the second installment of the Jagananna Chedodu Scheme. 583.78 Crores Transferred Till Now

The Andhra Pradesh government has so far disbursed Rs 583.78 crores under this scheme. This programme was created to help tailors, washermen, barbers, and other tradespeople who have lost their jobs owing to Covid-19. Direct benefit transfer will be used to send the funds supplied under this scheme to the beneficiaries bank accounts. A survey will be used to identify and shortlist the beneficiaries. A list of qualified applicants will be provided to village and ward secretaries, and from this list, a social audit will be conducted and beneficiaries selected.

Jagananna Chedodu Scheme Budget

YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, launched the chedodu plan on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, by depositing Rs. 10,000 to each beneficiary’s account. The state government has allocated Rs 247.04 crore to about 2.47 lakh people. The money will be transferred to the bank accounts of 82,347 Rajakas, 38,767 Nayee Brahmins, and 1.25 lakh tailors under this scheme. Furthermore, the government has decided to extend the scheme’s advantages to barbers who operate a store.
