- Eligible applicants can get the application form from the employment exchange in which the beneficiary is registered.

Conditions to Get Loan of Above Rs 50000
If the beneficiary wants to get the loan above Rs 50000 then the beneficiary is required to remit the beneficiary contribution of 10% of that amount and 3% as interest at a flat rate. Other than this for those ventures who are running successfully and have repaid 50% of the loan amount can avail additional loan amount up to 80% off the original loan amount at the nominal interest rate in order to expand their venture. Under the Kerala Saranya self-employment scheme, the beneficiaries are not required to give any security in order to get the loan amount.
Eligibility Criteria of Kerala Saranya Self Employment Scheme
- All the unemployed widows, divorced, deserted, spinsters who are above the age of 30 years and unwedded mothers of scheduled tribe who are in the live register of employment exchange having the age limit of 18 to 55 years except spinsters are all eligible to apply under this scheme.
- In order to get the benefit of this scheme the annual family income of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs 100000.
- Preference will be given to those who are having professional or technical qualifications.

| Divorced women | Those women who are divorced by their husband came under the category and have received the divorcee certificate by the court or by their religious organisation. Under this category of women there is no boundation of religion. It should be stated in the divorce certificate that the woman have still not remarried at the time of application |
| Deserted woman | Deserted women are those women who are deserted by her husband or her husband is missing from the last seven years. These women are required to produce certificate from the tahsildar and in the certificate it should also be stated that she has not remarried till date |
| Spinsters | Those women who have completed the age of 30 years as on 1st April of the year and are unmarried. The certificate is required to be obtained from the village officer. |
| Unmarried mothers | Those women who belong to the scheduled tribe category who have become mothers without getting married. Unmarried mothers are required to obtain a certificate from village officer in which it will be clearly stated the caste and community of the women |
