Geetha Karmikula Bima Scheme:- The government always put effort and keeps on launching many schemes for the welfare of the farmers. So, this time Telangana government is coming up with one more scheme that will provides benefits to the Toddy Tappers of the state. ‘Geetha Karmikula Bhima’ will be soon launched in the Telangana state. Geetha Karmikula Bima will provide insurance coverage for Toddy Tappers. According to the scheme, Toddy Tappers are allowed to receive benefits from the scheme. The latest yojana will provide a life insurance cover of Rs. 5 lakhs in case Toddy Tapper died accidentally at the time of collecting Toddy from Palm Trees in the fields. As per the CM KCR, the amount of insurance money will be directly sent to the bank account of the family members of Toddy Tapper.

Both State Finance Minister T Harish Rao and Excise and Prohibition Minister V Srinivas Goud have been given the responsibility to make guidelines for the new insurance scheme. This scheme will support the Toddy Tappers who lose their lives in accidents that happen after falling from the trees. The meeting regarding this scheme was held in the newly inaugurated Dr. B R Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat. To receive the advantages of this new program, the Toddy Tapper must be a resident of Telangana. All the details regarding the scheme like the registration process, application process, and eligibility criteria will be soon updated.
