Magel Tyala Shettale Yojana 2023
The Government of Maharashtra has launched a new scheme called Magel Tyala Shettale Yojana 2023 for the welfare of farmers. Farmers have to suffer a lot due to heavy or reduced rain because agriculture in Maharashtra is mostly dependent on rainwater. Water is the main component for crop production, due to less rain land becomes dry which alters agricultural production causing loss to farmers. Under this scheme, the government will provide a subsidy amount to farmers so that they can build ponds on their land. These ponds are used to restore rainwater and can be used in times of drought.
Farmers will be provided with an amount of 50,000 by the government to create these ponds. Maharashtra Government has presented a budget of RS 204 crore. A total of 51, 369 fields will be converted to ponds. This scheme will be very helpful for farmers as they won’t have to worry about water for crop production.
