The state government of Odisha has launched the Odisha State Scholarship Portal 2023, which will award scholarships to thousands of the state’s students. All scholarship applications will be submitted through the portal, which will serve as a one-stop shop. Students from Odisha can apply for any scholarship they want on the official website i.e. scholarship.odisha.gov.in. Eligibility Requirement

To apply for the scholarship, the applicant must meet the following requirements:-

The student’s annual household income from all sources must not exceed INR 6 lakh per year. Only in the year of joining can a student apply for medhabruti (1st year of the course). The student must have completed CHSE Odisha +2/class 12th or an equivalent exam from a CBSE/ICSE accredited institution. The student must have received a minimum of 60% in their 12th grade.

Technical and Professional Merit (Medhabruti)For AllThe student’s annual household income from all sources must not exceed INR 6 lakh per year. Only in the year of joining can a student apply for medhabruti (1st year of the course). The student must be pursuing a professional technical degree or a professional undergraduate degree and integrated course that has been approved by government regulatory agencies such as AICTE, MCI, DCI, and others. The student must have received at least 60% in the previous qualifying examinations.
PRERANA- Post-Matric Scholarship for SCScheduled CasteThe annual household income of the applicants must not exceed INR 2.5 lakh. The applicant must be an Odisha permanent resident. The candidate must be continuing his or her post-matriculation studies in one of the Group I, II, III, or IV courses. The candidate must be enrolled in a government-sponsored or government-approved private institution.
PRERANA- Post-Matric Scholarship for STScheduled TribeThe applicant’s annual family income must not exceed INR 1 lakh. The applicant must have received a minimum of 50% on the prior exam. The applicant must be an Odisha permanent resident. The candidate must be continuing his or her post-matriculation studies in one of the Group I, II, III, or IV courses. The applicant must be enrolled in either a public or private university.
PRERANA- Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC/SEBCOther Backward Class/ Socially and Economically Backward ClassThe applicant’s annual family income must not exceed INR 1 lakh. The applicant must have received a minimum of 50% on the prior exam. The applicant must be an Odisha permanent resident. The candidate must be continuing his or her post-matriculation studies in one of the Group I, II, III, or IV courses. The applicant must be enrolled in either a public or private institution.
PRERANA- Post-Matric Scholarship for EBCEconomically Backward ClassThe applicant’s total annual family income from all sources must not exceed INR 1 lakh. The applicant must be pursuing higher education at a government-sponsored institution. The candidate must be enrolled in one of the Group I, II, III, or IV courses. This scholarship programme is limited for EBCs in the General category.
Pre Matric Scholarship for Students with DisabilitiesFor AllThe applicant’s annual family income should be less than INR 2.4 lakh. The candidate must have a disability of at least 40%. The applicant must be a resident of the state of Odisha. At least 5 years old is required of the applicant. The applicant should not be receiving any other pension from the central government, the state government, or any other government-sponsored entity. The applicant must be a pre-matriculated student.
Post-Matric Scholarship for Students with DisabilitiesFor AllThe applicant’s annual family income should be less than INR 2.4 lakh. The candidate must have a disability of at least 40%. Engineering, medical, or liberal arts studies should be pursued by the applicant. The applicant must be a resident of the state of Odisha. At the time of application or if they are chosen, the candidate should not have received or been offered any other financial assistance. Note: Applicants from the SC/ST community and those with physical disabilities will be given priority.
Scholarship to Meritorious Students under Central Sector SchemeFor AllAs a normal student, the applicant must have passed the annual Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the CHSE, Odisha. As an ordinary student, the candidate must pursue higher education at any college, institution, or university. The student’s annual household income from all sources must not exceed INR 6 lakh.
Vidyadhan Scholarship Program (Odisha) (1st and 2nd year)For AllThe applicant’s annual family income should be less than INR 2 lakh. The applicant must have passed his or her BSE/tenth grade exams. The applicants must have received an average of at least 80% in their 10th grade/BSE exams.
Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Senapati ScholarshipFor AllThe candidate must be a resident of the state of Odisha. The applicant must have passed either his or her Higher Secondary Examination or his or her graduate degree examinations in Odia as Hons./Major in B.A. (Arts). In their Higher Secondary Examination, the applicants must have received at least 90% in the Odia paper. Applicants must have received at least 80% on their bachelor’s degree examination.
Financial Assistance to SportspersonsFor AllThe applicant must be a resident of the state of Odisha. In sports and games, the applicant must have represented Odisha districts, the state of Odisha, and its universities. The applicant must meet the academic requirements set forth by the Sports Authority of India and the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports.

A monthly reader allowance for blind students, a monthly transportation allowance if the student is not a hosteller, a monthly escort allowance for severely disabled (80% or more), and a monthly coaching allowance for mentally retarded and ill students are also included in the award.
Post-Matric Scholarship for Students with DisabilitiesScholars selected under this programme get a monthly stipend, an additional stipend based on the student’s condition, and reimbursement of mandatory non-refundable expenses.
Prof. Ghanshyam Dash Scholarship for Higher EducationThe selected scholars are eligible for a 90 percent waiver on academic fees and other expenditures for the duration of a four-year study, up to INR 1 lakh per year.
Scholarship to Meritorious Students under Central Sector SchemeFor the first three years of college and university courses, the scholarship rate for students at the graduation level is INR 10,000 per year. Postgraduate students are eligible for a scholarship worth INR 20,000 per year. In the fourth and fifth years, students pursuing a professional degree or integrated courses are eligible to receive INR 20,000 per year.
Vidyadhan Scholarship Program (Odisha) (1st and 2nd year)A scholarship of up to INR 6,000 per year would be awarded to the selected scholars.
Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Senapati ScholarshipThe selected scholars will get a one-time payment of INR 20,000 as a scholarship.
Financial Assistance to SportspersonsThe following financial aid will be provided to the selected scholars: Sportspeople in the BPL category receive a price waiver of 100 percent as well as an additional sum of INR 10,000 for diploma and long-term courses and INR 5,000 for 6-week certificate courses to cover travel and other miscellaneous expenditures. Non-BPL athletes receive a 75 percent fee waiver as well as an additional INR 5,000 for diploma and long-term courses and INR 2,500 for 6-week certificate courses to cover travel and other miscellaneous expenditures.

Pre-Matric Scholarship for students with DisabilitiesThe Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities publishes the scheme’s information and welcomes applications by publishing an advertisement in major newspapers and on the department’s website. Applicants must submit their applications online by the deadline for receipt of applications, along with all required documentation in the prescribed format, by the deadline. After completing the application online, the applicant should print it off and submit it to the school or institute where he or she is enrolled. After doing the requisite verification, the School/Institute will transmit the application to the concerned Education Department of the State Government.

Is it possible for an applicant to apply using the offline process?

There is no such thing as an offline process. This scholarship program is only available online.

What can a candidate do if he or she does not have an EWS or PWD certificate?

The reservation option must be available to an applicant. If you don’t have that, you don’t have any other options. Without this reservation certificate, you will not be eligible for this scholarship program.
