The Lakshmi Bhandar scheme was introduced by the West Bengal government to give basic income support to the family’s female head. More than 1.23 million persons have successfully registered under this scheme. 1226611 West Bengal residents have applied for this scheme through Duare Sarkar camps. Duare Sarkar Camps Deadlines Extension

West Bengal’s administration has begun the implementation of Lakshmi Bhandar, the state’s largest cash distribution initiative. Thousands of women have signed up for this programme around the state. The West Bengal Lakshmi Bhandar scheme will cost Rs 1100 crore per month to operate, with up to 1.6 crore people expected to benefit.
